| ABOUT US | |||||||
caribarts.org is an online ‘home’ for and about Caribbean arts and culture. It is a source of information on a wide range of topics, and a forum for interchange between artists. The aims of this website are to provide facilities to connect, promote and highlight Caribbean artists worldwide and to offer a single repository of information on Caribbean cultural practice. In part, these aims involve supporting Caribbean arts & culture development and activities through the provision of information and tools to help build an online Caribbean arts community. Directories and reference listings are updated regularly, and a repository of information on cultural practice is growing, alongside records of current developments and issues. The site’s directories / listings are divided into topic areas. Access to these listings is tiered, with basic information available to all visitors, and more in-depth complete records available only to site subscribers. Artists can register to be listed in caribarts’ personnel directories at no cost. These listings are limited to demographic data and may include one picture attachment. Caribarts.org also offers artists a more comprehensive subsite package which allows them to expose their work to a web audience and includes an email address. The newsletter 'caribarts news' provides news and views on Caribbean arts and culture on a monthly basis, and continues to attract kudos from its readers. The editor of the newsletter is Marina Taitt. The caribarts.org website is owned and managed by Caribarts Inc, a limited liability company registered in Barbados. This website was designed and developed by Nationlogic Inc. |
